Abstract:
[Problem] To provide a robot system and a device and method for testing a sensor such that a force sensor can be accurately and easily tested. [Solution] A force control type robot with a tip tool which is attached to the tip part of a robot arm via a force sensor is caused to operate so as to press the tip tool against a prescribed or predetermined pressing surface. The force component that is received by the tip tool from the pressing surface in a direction perpendicular to the direction in which the tip tool is pressed against the pressing surface is acquired, said force component being measured by the force sensor when the tip tool is pressed against the pressing surface. The presence of an abnormality in the force sensor is determined on the basis of the magnitude of the acquired force component in the direction perpendicular to the direction in which the tip tool is pressed.
