Abstract:
[Problem] To provide a framework by which a robot can provide a service to its user and by which the robot can assist another robot in providing a service to another user. [Solution] Provided is a robot for a robot system that comprises a plurality of robots which have a function for identifying a subject to be monitored and transmitting information pertaining to the subject to a remote site, said robot comprising: an acquisition unit which acquires sensing data pertaining to the subject; a communication unit for communicating with others robots in the vicinity thereof; and a control unit which, upon assessing on the basis of the sensing data that a first subject is in an abnormal state, controls the communication unit to transmit to the other robots in the vicinity thereof an alert mode transition request signal, and when the alert mode transition request signal is received in relation to a second subject, transitions into an alert mode in which a process based on the received alert mode transition request signal is carried out.
