Abstract:
With regard to a posture in which the height of a robot is lowered, the present invention lowers the height of the robot more than the prior art. This robot 1 comprises: two arms 5; a torso 12 to which the two arms 5 are connected; a vehicle unit 1W that moves by the rotation of wheels; and a torso position changing mechanism 1B supporting the torso 12 such that the position of the torso 12 can be changed relative to the vehicle unit 1W. The torso position changing mechanism 1B has: an elevation angle changing mechanism 17 supporting the torso 12 such that the elevation angle with respect to a vehicle unit reference surface can be changed; and an azimuth angle changing mechanism 16 supporting the elevation angle changing mechanism 17. The elevation angle changing mechanism 17 has: a movement unit 17B that moves along a straight line parallel to the vehicle unit reference surface; a first link 17A the lower end of which is rotatably connected to the movement unit 17B, and which extends in a direction forming an elevation angle with the vehicle unit reference surface, and supports the torso 12; a second link 17C the upper end of which is rotatably connected to the first link 17A; and a link lower end support part J1 to which the lower end of the second link 17C is rotatably connected.
