Abstract:
A rod (1) for permanent wave, comprising a shaft body (2) for wrapping hair therearound. The shaft body (2) comprises a deformation part (6) at least partly formed of an actuating member (4) changed in shape in response to an external stimulus. The deformation part (6) is deformed so as to increase the outside diameter of the shaft body (2) according to a change in the shape of the actuating member (4).
