Abstract:
Provided is a roll press device wherein a thickness gauge is provided on an exit side of a first compression roller and a second compression roller, and detects the thickness of an electrode plate of a secondary cell at each of three or more points in the widthwise direction of the electrode plate. From the thickness values measured for the three or more points and a thickness target value, a calculation unit: calculates three feature amounts constituted by the deviation between the thickness value measured for the median point out of the three or more points and the thickness target value, a secondary component of a thickness profile of the electrode plate, and a primary component of the thickness profile of the electrode plate; and, on the basis of the three feature amounts, adaptively modifies pressure setting values for a first pressing mechanism, a second pressing mechanism, a first bending mechanism, and a second bending mechanism.
