Abstract:
[Problem] To provide a roll that can inhibit the deformation or collapse of the outer peripheral side of roll pieces constituting a roll main body, and that can reduce manufacturing cost. [Solution] This roll 10 has a base 2 and a roll part 1, the base 2 has a plurality of shafts 3a, 3b, and flanges 4a, 4b on both ends that couple ends of the plurality of shafts 3a, 3b together, the roll part 1 has an approximate disk shape made of a nonwoven fabric and/or a synthetic resin porous body, and in the roll part, roll pieces 5 in which a plurality of holes communicating from one side surface to the other side surface are formed substantially evenly on a concentric circle are layered such that the holes align with each other, wherein, in the roll part 1, the shafts 3a, 3b ... are inserted into the respective consecutive holes, and are pressed and secured by the flanges 4a, 4b from both end sides.
