Abstract:
Provided are a roller-bearing cage and a roller bearing whereby even with cages in which raised parts (protuberances) of resin polymer are formed by the welds, it is possible to keep friction increase, torque increase, etc. to a minimum when the bearing is running. A cage 1 is a roller bearing cage that has an annular part 2 and a plurality of pillar parts 3 extending unilaterally in the axial direction from the annular part 2, and that retains rolling elements in the circumferential gaps between the pillar parts 3, wherein: the annular part 2 and the pillar parts 3 are unitarily formed by injection molding; the cage has welds W on at least the annular part 2; axially raised protuberances 5 are formed on the axial-end side of the annular part 2 where the welds W are formed; and where the axial dimension of the protuberances 5 is H and the axial thickness of the annular part 2 in the places where the protuberances 5 are not formed is T, then (H * 100/T) < 6.5 is satisfied.
