Provided is a roller bearing used by fitting an outer diameter surface of an outer ring to a housing or by fitting a shaft to an inner diameter surface of an inner ring, wherein the roller bearing can stably maintain excellent anti-creep performance over a long period of time and does not require an increase in size. A roller bearing (10) comprises: an outer ring (1); an inner ring (2); and a plurality of rolling bodies (3) interposed so as to be able to roll between the raceway faces of the outer ring (1) and the inner ring (2). The roller bearing is used by fitting an outer diameter surface (1g), which serves as a fitting surface, of the outer ring (1) to a housing serving as a mating member (20), or by fitting an inner diameter surface (2n), which serves as the fitting surface, of the inner ring (2) to a shaft serving as the mating member (20). The fitting surface is provided with at least one protrusion (8) so that a static torque Thold=Σ(F×r) which is generated by the protrusion (8) is equal to or greater than a torque Tcreep which is generated by creep.
