Abstract:
A roller screw consists of a screw (1), rollers (2), bearings (3), bearing seats (4) and pins (5). The rollers (2) are equably distributed at the circumference of the screw (1). The two ends of the rollers (2) are located in the bearing seats (4) by the bearings (3). The bearing seats (4) are fixed by the pins (5). The rollers (2) distributed equably are equal in height difference in axial direction, parallel with respect to each other and mesh with the long screw teeth. During operation, the rotation of the screw (1) makes the rollers (2) meshed therewith rotate and displace. The rollers (2) are supported by the roller bearings (3) at two ends, thereby rotate and make the bearing seats (4) displace. This type of screw is used to convert rotary motion into linear motion.
