Abstract:

A rolling bearing device having a rotation detection function, provided with a rolling bearing (1), a sensor housing (2), an encoder (3), and a sensor mounting board (4). The rolling bearing (1) is in contact with the outer peripheral surface of a shaft (5). The sensor housing (2) is annular. The outer ring (12) of the rolling bearing (1) is fitted in a bearing fitting section (21) which is a part of the sensor housing (2) in the axial direction thereof. The encoder (3) is housed within the inner peripheral space of an encoder housing section (22) which is the portion of the sensor housing (2) which is offset from the bearing fitting section (21) in the axial direction. The encoder (3) rotates integrally with the shaft (5). The sensor mounting board (4) has mounted thereon sensors (42A, 42B, 42C) for detecting the encoder (3) and is provided between the encoder housing section (21) and the encoder (3).
