Abstract:
A rolling bearing, wherein lubrication between a guided surface of a retainer and a guiding surface of a guide member is appropriately maintained and wherein wear of particularly a portion which is susceptible to wear is positively suppressed .
A rolling bearing (10) is provided with an outer spacer (15) mounted next to an outer ring (11). A guiding surface (21) slidably facing a guided surface (22) of a retainer (14) is formed on the outer spacer (15). The guiding surface (21) has formed therein an annular groove (31) in which a discharge opening (17c1) of an oil/air flow path (17c) formed in the outer spacer (15) is open. Compressed air discharged from the discharge opening (17c1) is guided inward radially by a side wall surface (31a1) inward axially of the annular groove (31).
