Abstract:
A bearing on which a large radial load acts is configured so that the occurrence of a creeping phenomenon is prevented. When an inner ring and a shaft are fitted to each other by clearance fit, the wall thickness (t) of the inner ring (the equivalent wall thickness (t) in the direction perpendicular to the raceway surface at the point which is within the region of contact between rolling bodies and the raceway surface of the inner ring and at which the wall thickness is smallest) and the circumferential distance (w) between rolling bodies (expressed by w = π × SD/Z, with Z being the number of the disposed rolling bodies and SD being the inner diameter of the bearing) satisfy the conditions of t/w > 0.5. When an outer ring and the shaft are engaged with each other by clearance fit, the wall thickness (t) of the outer ring (the equivalent wall thickness (t) in the direction perpendicular to the raceway surface at the point which is within the region of contact between the rolling bodies and the raceway surface of the outer ring and at which the wall thickness is smallest) and the circumferential distance (w) between the rolling bodies (expressed by w = π × LD/Z, with Z being the number of the disposed rolling bodies and LD being the outer diameter of the bearing) satisfy the conditions of t/w > 0.5.
