Abstract:
In an outer ring rotating rolling bearing (10), an inclined plane having a diameter narrowing toward the outside in the axial direction is formed on an outer peripheral surface of an inner ring (12), a sealing member (20) comprises an annular core metal (21) and an annular elastic member (22) secured to the core metal (21), and the elastic member (22) has a neck part (28) extending from an inner peripheral edge part (24a) of the core metal (21) toward the inside in the radial direction and a sealing lip (30) formed on a tip part of the neck part (28) and coming into contact with the inclined plane (41) of the inner ring (12) while keeping a fastening margin. Where the width of the core metal (21) is T1 and the thickness of the neck part (28) is T2, T2 ≥ T1. It is thereby possible to suppress the effect of centrifugal force generated in the sealing lip and to ensure the sealing performance of the sealing member, even when the outer ring rotates at high speed and the sealing member is subjected to outside pressure (pressure fluctuations).
