Abstract:
According to the present invention, a deep groove ball bearing (1) is provided with an outer ring (11), an inner ring (12), and a ball (13). The arithmetic mean roughnesses of the surfaces of the rolling parts of the outer ring (11) and the inner ring (12) are greater than the arithmetic mean roughness of the surface of the rolling part of the ball (13). The Rockwell hardnesses of the surfaces of the rolling parts of the outer ring (11) and the inner ring (12) are less than the Rockwell hardness of the surface of the rolling part of the ball (13). After tempering treatment, the surfaces of the rolling parts of the outer ring (11) and the inner ring (12) are subjected to chemical conversion treatment so that coatings (11B, 12B) containing at least one of an iron oxide and an iron compound are formed on the surfaces of the rolling parts of the outer ring (11) and the inner ring (12), respectively, by the chemical conversion treatment.
