A rolling-element bearing having an outer ring, an inner ring, and multiple rolling elements which roll and come into contact with the outer ring and the inner ring from the radial direction. The outer ring is provided with: an annular part having a rolling element surface, on which the rolling elements roll, on the inner circumferential surface; and a protrusion part which serves as a securing part for securing the outer ring on a predetermined member to be secured, and protrudes outward in the radial direction while integrally continuing from the edge of the annular part in the axial direction. A ring-like member for forming an annular space with the outer circumferential surface of the annular part while covering the outer circumferential surface along the entire circumference thereof is disposed on the outside of the outer circumferential surface of the annular part. The rolling-elements are brought into pressure contact with the outer ring and the inner ring as a consequence of the annular part becoming elastically deformed in the radial direction and the diameter of the annular part being reduced due to a pressurized fluid being supplied into the annular space.
