A rolling labeling machine and an automatic monitoring device thereof. The rolling labeling machine comprises a labeling device (50) and the automatic monitoring device (10), said labeling device (50) being electrically connected with a processor (2) of the automatic monitoring device (10). The automatic monitoring device (10) comprises a reflection-type photoelectric sensor (1) used for emitting light upon products to be labeled and detecting reflected light quantity, the direction of the light emitted by the reflection-type photoelectric sensor (1) being perpendicular to the direction of movement of said products (20). The processor (2) electrically connected with the reflection-type photoelectric sensor (1) receives and analyzes the light quantity values detected by the reflection-type photoelectric sensor (1). By means of comparing the absolute difference of the light quantity values received at two adjacent moments with preset values, the processor (2) can determine whether the products to be labeled (20) are in motion, and discover in real time production line anomalies such as product accumulation, thus allowing for control or suspension of labeling operations of the labeling device and thereby ensuring regular labeling operations, especially for such operations involving labels with unique code information.
