Abstract:
A control device 20 of a rolling machine 1 has: a first angle command section 20a that issues a command so as to adjust the angle between an upper pair and a lower pair, with the upper pair being in parallel and the lower pair being in parallel; a second angle command section 20b that issues a command that inclines work rolls 110A, 110B, with the angle of backup rolls 120A, 120B being maintained; and an axial position command section 20c that issues a command for shifting the work rolls 110A, 110B in the direction in which a thrust force acts, said force being the total thrust force that the work rolls 110A, 110B, which were inclined according to the command from the second angle command section 20b, receive from the backup rolls 120A, 120B and a rolled material S. On the basis of the commands by the first angle command section 20a, the second angle command section 20b, and the axial position command section 20c, the control device controls work-roll pressing devices 130, 130B, work-roll home-position control devices 140A,140B, and shift cylinders 115A,115B.
