Abstract:
An instantaneous value of a learning coefficient is calculated on the basis of a discrepancy between a result value and a result re-calculated value, and an updated value of the learning coefficient is calculated from the instantaneous value. The calculated updated value is recorded in a cell corresponding to relevant rolling conditions. At the time of setting calculation, a predetermined number of adjacent cells are selected from cells satisfying references in terms of evaluation results of recency, saturation, and stability of the learning coefficient, the adjacent cells having a small spatial distance from an object cell corresponding to next rolling conditions in a space having rolling conditions as coordinate axes. By polynomial interpolation using a representative value of the learning coefficient in the selected adjacent cell, an estimated value of the learning coefficient in the object cell is calculated. The latest updated value of the learning coefficient in the object cell is corrected with the estimated value to determine a use value of the learning coefficient under the next rolling conditions.
