Abstract:
Provided is a rolling stock structure for a rolling stock provided with an engine and a generator, the rolling stock structure being light weight as well as being able to reliably exert sufficient durability and strength. Louver window parts (24, 24) disposed on a hollow extrusion constituting a side structure (20) are configured from two triangular openings formed by dividing the opening of a square along the diagonal line. The aforementioned diagonal line extends from the top corner towards the ends in the longitudinal direction of the side structure to the bottom corner towards the center and the corners of the triangular openings are formed in the shape of an arc. A louver window reinforcing member (50) is fitted along the edge of the triangular openings while leaving a space between the triangular openings and said member and is joined to the vehicle interior side surface plate of the side structure (20). In said configuration, the shear load acting on the side structure from heavy loads such as the engine and the generator is absorbed by the hollow extrusion positioned on the diagonal line and the reinforcing member joined to the periphery of the openings. Therefore, it is possible to prevent the opening of the side structure in which deformities easily occur from deforming even in a rolling stock structure made from aluminum alloy which exerts low durability and strength.
