Abstract:
Provided is an air conditioning system with which a free cooling operation can be appropriately carried out manually or automatically. This air conditioning system is provided with a cooling tower (50), a chiller (40), an air conditioning unit (20), a heat exchanger (30), an opening/closing valve (61, etc.), and a control device (80). The heat exchanger (30) carries out heat exchange directly between first circulating water on a heat source side and second circulating water on a usage side, without using the chiller (40). The opening/closing valve (61, etc.) switches between a first state in which the first circulating water flows to the chiller (40) and a second state in which the first circulating water flows to the heat exchanger (30). Using weather prediction information (92a), a determination unit (87) of the control device (80) determines, on the basis of a predicted value for the wet-bulb temperature of the atmosphere, whether or not to switch from the first state for chiller operation to the second state for free cooling.
