Abstract:
[Problem] To provide a highly practical root canal treatment instrument for which there is no need to build a post, which is dangerous. [Solution] A root canal treatment instrument equipped with an optical fiber bundle (1) in which optical fibers (1A) are bundled, and a holding fixture (2) that maintains the shape of the optical fiber bundle (1). The optical fiber bundle (1) has a brush-like shape, and can include a photopolymerizable sealer (3). When the tip of the optical fiber bundle (1) is inserted into a root canal and light is shone into the base end (1B), the photopolymerizable sealer (3) is hardened by the light emitted from the tips of the optical fibers (1A), and the root canal treatment instrument is integrated with the root canal.
