Abstract:
The present invention provides a rope break detection device (10) capable of detecting occurrences of strand breaks during bidirectional travel of a rope (7) and capable of detecting occurrences of strand breaks, with a uniform detection sensitivity for a plurality of ropes (7). The rope break detection device (10) comprises: a main detection unit configured so as to be rotatable around a first shaft (14), having a first movable member (12) having a first cam (13) formed in the rear end thereof, having a first operation member (15) having a length direction that is parallel to the axial direction of the first shaft (14) and being fixed to the tip of the first movable member (12), and being arranged such that the first operation member (15) faces towards the rope column, the axial direction of the first shaft (14) and the rope arrangement direction of the rope column match, and the first operation member (15) crosses one side of the rope column in the rope arrangement direction; and a limit switch (16) having an actuator having a roller (18a) attached to the tip thereof and a base side rotatably attached to a switch case (17) around a rotating shaft (18b), said limit switch (16) being arranged such that, in a state in which the roller (18a) is in an engaged state with the first cam (13), the axial core of the rotating shaft (18b) and the axial core of the first shaft (14) are parallel and are positioned on the same plane intersecting the rope (7).
