Abstract:
In a rope inspection device for inspecting a belt-like rope (100) that includes a belt-like CFRP and a covering that covers the CFRP: an AC magnetic field is applied to the CFRP and an eddy current generated by the AC magnetic field is detected (200); a fiber image that depicts a detection signal (B), which represents the intensity of the eddy current, and a distribution of the intensity of the eddy current, is generated on the basis of detection results in a plurality of respective unit areas having one end in a plurality of mutually different positions in the CFRP length direction; and the presence of a defect in the unit areas is determined on the basis of the result of a comparison between the detection signal (B) and a threshold and the result of image recognition of the fiber image (C). Various defects can be detected including longitudinal cracks in the carbon fibers.
