Abstract:
Provided are a rope inspection device and a work machine equipped with same, which are able to detect with high precision deterioration of a rope used in the work machine. This rope inspection device (7) is mounted in a crane having a machine body that includes backstops (45), a boom capable of being raised relative to the machine body, a winch, and a rope (51) that is drawn out from the winch. The rope inspection device (7) comprises a rope inspection unit (70) that is able to examine the deterioration state of the rope (51), and a support unit (7S) that is mounted on the machine body, said support unit (7S) supporting the rope inspection unit (70) such that the rope inspection unit (70) is able to follow the movement of the rope (51).
