Abstract:
Provided is a rotary compressor which comprises: a rotating shaft (12) extending along an axis (A); a bearing (13) for rotatably supporting the rotating shaft (12); an electric motor for rotationally driving the rotating shaft (12); and a compression mechanism (4) having piston rotors (35, 36) which are eccentric to the rotating shaft (12) and which are rotated, and also having a cylinder (15) which has compression chambers (27, 28) in which the piston rotors (35, 36) are contained. At least part of the front surfaces of the piston rotors (35, 36), the front surfaces facing the front side in the rotational direction thereof, faces in the direction of the axis.
