Abstract:
This rotary compressor comprises, inside a sealed container, an electric motor unit and a compression mechanism unit that compresses a refrigerant with a driving force transmitted from the electric motor unit. The compression mechanism unit has: a crankshaft that is rotationally driven by the electric motor unit; a cylinder having a compression chamber; a rolling piston; a vane that divides the compression chamber into a low pressure space section and a high pressure space section; and a vane spring that urges the tip section of the vane to press the tip against the outer circumferential surface of the rolling piston. A first notched groove section is formed in an intermediate section in the vertical direction of the cylinder on the end section of a vane groove on the low pressure space section side.
