Abstract:
Disclosed is a rotary connector device capable of sufficiently corresponding to multiplexed high-speed communication such as in a CAN (Controller Area Network) for example. A rotary connector device (11) which comprises a stator (31) and a rotor (41) that is rotatably attached to the stator (31), and which accommodates a flat cable (21) within an annular accommodation space (12) that is constituted by the stator (31) and the rotor (41), wherein the rotary connector device (11) comprises, as the flat cable (21), a signal flat cable (22) provided with a signal conductor (22a) and a shielding flat cable (23) provided with an electromagnetic shielding material (23a). The signal flat cable (22) and the shielding flat cable (23) are overlaid and accommodated in the rotary connector device (11) in such a way that the shielding flat cable (23) is positioned at the side close to the peripheral walls (34, 44) at both sides of the accommodation space (12).
