Abstract:
The present invention addresses the problem of providing a rotary connector device wherein the number of parts is reduced to increase the easiness of assembling. This rotary connector device (1) is provided with: a stationary member (30); rotating members (20, 40) mounted to the stationary member (30) in a relatively rotatable manner and having an insertion hole (21a) into which the insertion protrusion (700) of a steering wheel is inserted; and a neutral affixation member (50) which is provided to be movable relative to the rotating members (20, 40) between a locking position and an unlocking position such that, at the locking position, the neutral affixation member (50) engages with the stationary member (30) to restrict the relative rotation of the rotating members (20, 40), and at the unlocking position, the neutral affixation member (50) removes the restriction and is pressed by the insertion protrusion (700) inserted in the insertion hole (21a), thereby being moved from the locking position to the unlocking position. The neutral affixation member (50) is provided with a latch (52), the rotating members (20, 40) are provided with catches (72), and the catches (72) are engaged with the latch (52) in a circumferential direction (W) to temporarily lock the neutral affixation member (50) at the locking position.
