Abstract:
Provided is a rotary drum-type magnetic separation device which, without a reduction in the sludge recovery efficiency, can prevent sludge from remaining and accumulating on the bottoms of flow passages near both ends of the rotary drum. A rotary drum-type magnetic separation device is provided with a rotary drum (3) having magnets (4) arranged thereon and separates unnecessary substances in a used coolant. A pair of partition sections (32) is provided to both ends of the lower part of the rotary drum (3). The pair of partition sections (32) divides a flow passage (16), through which the used coolant flows, into a flow passage (16a) near the center of the rotary drum (3) and flow passages (16b) near both ends of the rotary drum (3). The partition sections (32) serve as filters which do not allow the unnecessary substances in the used coolant to move from the flow passage (16a) near the center of the rotary drum (3) to the flow passages (16b) near both ends of the rotary drum (3).
