Abstract:
Disclosed is a rotary drying device for a pretreatment-drying of green whole grains. The rotary drying device for pretreatment-drying green whole grains according to the present invention comprises: a dry housing which is formed as a hollow tube shape having a predetermined length and diameter, and which has a plurality of conveying vanes for conveying green whole grains arranged in a spiral direction on the inner circumferential surface, and which is disposed in a laid- down state so, when green whole grain, which has been steamed, is conveyed by a conveying means and inserted into an inlet, as to transport the inserted green whole grain toward the outlet while moving the inserted green whole grain upward and then dropping the inserted green whole grain by means of the conveying vanes, and which is rotated horizontally by a rotating means; a hot air generator which is provided at an inlet side of the dry housing so as to perform the pretreatment-drying of the green whole grains which are transferred while being dropped after being moved upward by the conveying vanes in the rotating dry housing, and which is to supply hot air with low humidity into the inlet of the dry housing; a hot air outlet provided at an outlet of the dry housing so as to discharge hot air having dried the green whole grain moving toward the outlet while being dropped and moved upward by the respective conveying vanes in the dry housing; and a discharge conveying means for conveying the pretreatment-dried green whole grain discharged to the outlet of the dry housing to the next processing step. According to the present invention, after the green whole grain such as barley of a mature-green stage is steamed and before becoming subject to a complete drying process, the green whole grain in a state of having a large amount of water is supplied to the inside of the dry housing which is laid horizontally and rotated, and the green whole grain is moved upward by the conveying vanes inside the dry housing and then dropped downward to be conveyed to the outlet side and simultaneously dried by dry hot air so as to provide an effect of pretreatment-drying a large number of green whole grains with a large amount of moisture on the surface thereof without adhering thereon.
