Abstract:

The present invention relates to a rotary eddy machine that comprises a stator (1) and a rotor (2) separated by a toroidal working chamber (3). The chamber includes a plurality of vanes (4) and a separator (5) which are respectively connected to the stator and to the rotor. The working chamber communicates with a channel (6) formed in the rotor for supplying the working medium and with a channel (7) for discharging said working medium. The width of the working chamber section is equal to the difference between the maximal and the minimal radii of said chamber, wherein the radii correspond respectively to the distance from the axis to the most remote point of the working chamber and to the distance from the axis to the closest point of the working chamber. The ratio between the maximal radius of the working chamber (R) and the width of its section (h) is at least equal to 4.5 but does not exceed 9.5.
