Abstract:
The rotary electric machine is equipped with multiple magnetic poles 36. Each of the magnetic poles 36 has a rod-like section 36c radially extending inside a single coil 33u. The rod-like section 36u has a tip-side portion 36d, the cross-sectional area of which increases at an expansion rate exceeding a predetermined rate from a base part toward a tip part. The tip-side portion 36d is an expanded portion located on the outer side. The rod-like section 36c has a base-side portion 36e having an expansion rate lower than the predetermined rate. The base-side portion 36e is a straight portion. A wire 33a is wound around the magnetic pole 36, starting from the base-side portion 36e. The winding of the wire 33a continues onto the tip-side portion 36d.
