The present invention addresses the problems, whererin the shape of an insulating paper is complex, processes for forming and bending the insulating paper are required, an insulating paper insertion process is included in the middle of coil forming, and the insulating paper is damaged. According to the present invention, the fitting state of an insulating paper 201 fitted into a gap between coils assumes an annular tapered shape in which the diameter dimension D1 of an annular opening section of the insulating paper 201 is long on the coil end tip side, and the diameter dimension d2 of an annular opening section of the insulating paper 201 is short on an end surface side of a stator that is on the reverse side from the coil end tip side. The insulating paper 201 follows the tapered shape of the coil gap 140 between an inner peripheral coil 120 and an outer peripheral coil 130, and is fitted to the stator while inclined with respect to the axial direction of the stator 20 from the coil end tip side toward the stator end surface side. Therefore, bending following the insertion of the insulating paper 201 is reduced, and a force that can cause the insulating paper 201 to fall out from the coil end tip side is suppressed, and thus a floating prevention effect and a fall-out prevention effect of the insulating paper 201 can be achieved.
