Abstract:
The present invention provides: a rotary electric machine that enables reduction in torque pulsation without generating rotation direction dependency of torque; and a rotary electric motor drive system and an electric vehicle provided with the rotary electric machine. A rotary electric machine (1) is provided with a stator (10) and a rotor (30) that opposes the stator. The number of poles of the rotor is six or more. The cross-sectional shape of the rotor is configured such that partial cross-sectional shapes (130) each corresponding to one pole pitch, the number of which is equal to the number of poles, are arranged. The partial cross-sectional shapes, the number of which is equal to the number of poles, include three or more types of shapes that are different from each other, and the cross-sectional shape of the rotor has line symmetry.
