Title:
ROTARY ELECTRIC MACHINE SYSTEM HAVING VARIABLE MAGNETIC FLUX
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2010/082438
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
Disclosed are a magnetic field control method with a high energy efficiency and a rotary electric machine system, for a magnet-excited rotary electric machine.  A magnet-excited rotary electric machine has an armature and a rotor opposed thereto in an axial direction.  Magnetic salient-poles and island salient-poles through which an external magnetic flux cannot easily pass are alternately arranged in the circumferential direction on the surface of the rotor.  The excitation portion excites the island salient-poles and the magnetic salient-poles altogether in the same axial direction to control the amount of magnetic flux crossing an armature coil.  The armature has armature coils which are simultaneously opposed to the island salient-poles and the magnetic salient-poles to restrict a torque fluctuation and a distortion of voltage to be generated.  The excitation portion is configured to irreversibly vary the magnetization state of the field magnet or vary the amount of flux supplied by the excitation current.  A rotary electric machine system capable of achieving a low current/large torque and a large number of revolutions can be realized.
