Abstract:
A coil end section provided on the side toward the first axial direction of a rotor and also a coil end section provided on the side toward the second axial direction of the rotor can be cooled sufficiently in a rotary electric machine that has a structure in which oil is supplied from the side toward the first axial direction of the rotor to the coil end sections. The rotary electric machine (MG) comprises a rotor (Ro) that is rotatably supported by means of a rotor support member (30) on the inner side in the radial direction of a stator (St) having coil end sections (Ce) on both sides in the axial direction, and the rotary electric machine has a structure in which oil is supplied from the side toward the first axial direction (A1) of the rotor (Ro) to said coil end sections (Ce) provided on both sides in the axial direction. The rotary electric machine further includes: an oil collecting section (OC) provided at the end of the rotor support member (30) on the side toward the first axial direction (A1); and an oil communication passage (L) that is linked from the oil collecting section (OC) to a first opening (P1) and a second opening (P2). The first opening (P1) opens on the radially inner side of the coil end section (Ce1) provided on the side toward the first axial direction (A1), and the second opening (P2) opens on the radially inner side of the coil end section (Ce2) provided on the side toward the second axial direction (A2).
