Abstract:

A rotary electric machine is configured so that a rotor core and a drive shaft can be more reliably fastened. A rotary electric machine is provided with: a rotor core (12) having a shaft hole (12a) at the center thereof; a cylindrical member (60) formed in a cylindrical shape and fitted, at the outer peripheral surface thereof, into the shaft hole (12a) of the rotor core (12); and a drive shaft (50) inserted into the hollow section (60b) of the cylindrical member (60)(collar). The collar (60) consists of a material having a lower Young's modulus than the materials of the rotor core (12) and the shaft (50), and the inner peripheral surface of the collar (60) is formed as a tapered surface (60a). The drive shaft (50) has a tapered surface (54a) formed on the outer periphery thereof, and the tapered surface (54a) is in surface contact with and fitted to the tapered surface (60a) of the collar (60).
