Abstract:
Disclosed is a rotary engine comprising: a housing having, therein, N (N is a natural number greater than or equal to 3) number of lobe accommodation parts and a combustion chamber communicating with the respective lobe accommodation parts; a rotor eccentrically rotating around the center of the lobe accommodation part and having N-1 number of lobes continuously accommodated in the respective lobe accommodation parts during the eccentric rotation; and combustion control parts respectively provided at both sides of the combustion chamber, and provided so as to restrict a combustion range of mixture air. According to the present invention, the problem, of a conventional rotary engine, of excessively discharging unburned gas can be solved, engine efficiency can be improved, and the rotary engine having an optimized design condition can be provided.
