Abstract:
Rotary fluid machinery capable of converting the reciprocating motions of pistons (41) and the rotating motion of a rotor (31) to each other by the engagement of rollers (59) with annular grooves (60), wherein a positive peak value of the pressure load of the piston (41) on the roller (59) engaged with the annular groove (60) is generally identical to the positive peak value of a centrifugal force load on the roller, and the phase of the two peaks are shifted relative to each other, and the phase of the negative peak of the pressing down load of the vane (42) on the roller (59) is overlapped at least partly with the phase of the positive peak of the pressure load of the piston (41), whereby the peak value of the total load on the rollers (59) and the amount of load variation can be suppressed to increase the durability of the rollers (59).
