Abstract:
The purpose of the present invention is to provide a rotary impact tool that is able to limit reduction in tightening performance while reducing temperature elevation of the motor and a switching element and reducing the current flowing to the motor and switching element, and is easy to use. A rotary impact tool is provided with: a motor; a tip tool holder that is driven by the motor; an impact mechanism section that is provided in the motive power transmission pathway from the motor to the tip tool holder and is configured to intermittently generate rotary impact for transmitting the driving force of the motor to the tip tool holder; a switching element for switching the voltage supplied to the motor; and a control unit for controlling the switching element. The control unit is configured so that the voltage supplied to the motor from completion of a first rotary impact until initiation of a second rotary impact, which follows the first rotary impact, begins gradually to increase.
