Title:
ROTARY INERTIAL MASS DAMPER
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2016/129641
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
This rotary inertial mass damper is interposed between members (11, 12) which undergo relative displacement in an approaching/separating direction with respect to each other, and is configured so as to generate force by means of relative acceleration generated between the members (11, 12) in the approaching/separating direction. This rotary inertial mass damper is equipped with: a cylinder (2) linked to the first member (11) and filled with an operating oil (L); a piston rod (3) linked to the second member (12) and housed within the cylinder (2) so as to be capable of moving forward/backward; a piston (4) provided integrally with the piston rod (3) and dividing the cylinder (2) into two oil chambers (R1, R2); a hydraulic motor (5) connected to the oil chambers (R1, R2) via connecting pipes (6A, 6B); damping valves (7) provided on the connecting pipes (6A, 6B); and a rotary weight (8) provided on a rotary shaft (51) of the hydraulic motor (5). This rotary inertial mass damper is configured such that the rotary shaft (51) of the hydraulic motor (5) is rotated by the oil pressure of the operating oil (L) ejected from the oil chambers (R) by the forward/backward movement of the piston rod (3), and viscous resistance is generated in the operating oil (L) circulating in the connecting pipes (6).
