Abstract:
A rotary internal combustion engine comprising: an output shaft; a rotor; a housing; an annular working chamber formed inside the housing or inside the housing and the rotor; a piston section provided in the rotor and rotating the inside of the annular working chamber; a plurality of movable partition members that partition the annular working chamber; an intake working chamber, a pressure working chamber, a combustion working chamber, and an exhaust working chamber that are formed inside the annular working chamber; an auxiliary combustion chamber formed in the piston section and having an opening that opens to the top of the piston section; a compressed gas guidance mechanism provided in the housing and guiding compressed mixed air from the compression working chamber to the auxiliary combustion chamber; and a combustion gas injection mechanism provided in the housing and injecting combustion gas from the auxiliary combustion chamber to the combustion working chamber.
