Title:
ROTARY MESHING ENGAGEMENT DEVICE
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2010/122664
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
A rotary meshing engagement device is adapted such that the amount of stroke of an engaging element is satisfactory detected without an increase in cost and size. A lock mechanism (400) comprises a sleeve (SL)(second engaging element) fixed in the circumferential direction and adapted to be movable in the direction of an axis, a hub (401) (first engaging element) rotatable in the circumferential direction perpendicular to the direction of the axis, and an actuator (407) capable of imparting drive force to the sleeve (SL) for driving the sleeve in the direction of the axis. A dog tooth (403A) is formed on the inner peripheral surface of the sleeve (SL), and a dog tooth (402A) is formed on the hub (401). The dog teeth have engagement surfaces arranged at a predetermined angle θ1 relative to the axis so that the hub (401) rotates relative to the sleeve (SL) in a process in which the sleeve (SL) moves in the direction of the axis. An ECU (100) estimates the amount (Y) of stroke of the sleeve (SL) based on the amount of rotation of the hub (401) and the predetermined angle θ1.
