Abstract:
This rotary operation type electronic component comprises: a case; a bearing disposed above the case and having a circular hole portion; and an operation shaft inserted in the hole portion of the bearing, held by the bearing to be rotatable, and having an shaft portion. Along a first direction in which the rotation axis of the operation shaft extends, a first parting line and a second parting line are formed in the shaft portion. On one side of a plane whereby the first parting line and the second parting line are joined, the shape of the shaft portion is a semi-circular column. On the other side of the plane, the shape of the shaft portion is a shape wherein a semi-circular column has at least a first cut-out portion and a second cut-out portion.
