Abstract:
The present invention relates to a rotary shuttle for hitch stitches, having, added thereto, a thread breakage prevention means which creates a space for entry or escape of a loop of the top thread by causing the part of a hook body that comes into contact with a power transmission protrusion to move temporarily with respect to the power transmission protrusion towards the direction in which the power transmission protrusion rotates, when the loop of the top thread squeezes in between the part of the hook body that comes into contact with the power transmission protrusion from the circumferential direction of the hook body, and the power transmission protrusion. Accordingly, the present invention is capable of forming forward hitch stitches while rotating the hook body at a high speed without breaking the loops of the top thread and thus can significantly increase the efficiency of sewing work that is based on hitch stitches.
