Abstract:
Provided is a rotary type extension/retraction device configured such that the sliding resistance of a protrusion section when a movement member extends and retracts relative to a cylindrical section while rotating can be reduced. This rotary type extension/retraction device 10 has: a body member 15 having a cylindrical section 17; a movement member 40; a spring member 55; a protrusion section 50; and a cam groove 60. The cam groove 60 has: a first fitting groove 61 for holding the movement member 40 in a protruding position; a second fitting groove 63 for holding the movement member 40 in a pulled-in position; a first guide groove 65 formed in a tilted manner and guiding the protrusion section 50 from the first fitting groove 61 to the second fitting groove 63; and a second guide groove 67 formed in a tilted manner and guiding the protrusion 50 from the second fitting groove 63 to the first fitting groove 61. The first fitting groove 61, the first guide groove 65, the second fitting groove 63, and the second guide groove 67 are arranged circumferentially in this order in the inner periphery of the cylindrical section.
