Abstract:

[PROBLEMS] To provide a rotary valve enabling a fluid flow passage to be opened/closed by rotating a valve element having a through hole formed therein in an approximately cylindrical fixed seal body, a method of manufacturing the rotary valve, and a rotary valve device. [MEANS FOR SOLVING PROBLEMS] This rotary valve enables the fluid flow passage communicating the valve element with the fixed seal body to be opened/closed by rotating the valve element in the fixed seal body. The fixed seal body is formed in an approximately cylindrical shape, an opening part forming the fluid flow passage is formed in the side wall thereof, the valve element is provided with the through hole formed therein and rotatably inserted or press-fitted into the fixed seal body, and the fixed seal body is brought into surface contact with the valve element along the outline of the valve element. Since the fixed seal body is closely brought into surface contact with the valve element, the rotary valve can provide excellent sealability. Also, since the structure of the rotary valve is simple, it can be easily manufactured.
