Abstract:
Provided is a rotary valve in which a rotor having a plurality of blades provided radially on a rotating shaft is disposed in a flow passage, and in which the flow rate of granular matter in the flow passage is controlled by the rotation of the rotor. The rotary valve is characterized in that: the front ends of the plurality of blades of the rotor are formed in a wave shape by which the contact and separation of the front ends with and from the rotating shaft are repeated in the axial direction of the rotating shaft; and wide and narrow gaps are formed between the inner surface of the flow passage and the front ends of the blades of the rotor, the front ends being located close to the inner surface of the flow passage, the wide and narrow gaps being repeated in the axial direction of the rotating shaft.
