Provided is a rotating body comprising: an impeller having a body 21, the impeller also having a surface 23 on which welding is to be performed, the surface 23 being provided on the rear surface 21b of the body 21, the impeller further having a recess 24 provided in the portion of the body 21, which is located radially inside the surface 23 on which welding is to be performed, the recess 24 being recessed from the surface 23 on which welding is to be performed, the impeller still further having a reinforcement section 25 located on the portion of the body 21, which is located radially inside the recess 24, the reinforcement section 25 protruding from the bottom surface 24a of the recess 24; and a shaft 8 having a surface 27 to be welded, which is welded to the surface 23 on which welding is to be performed, the shaft 8 also having a protrusion 28 which is provided radially inside the surface 27 to be welded, protrudes toward the impeller from the surface 27 to be welded, and is inserted into the recess 24, the front end of the reinforcement section 25 being inserted radially inside the protrusion 28.
