Abstract:
This rotating damper device uses one valve in a manner such that at an angle of rotation at which braking force is imparted when relatively rotating to one side, braking force is not imparted when relatively rotating to the other side, and at an angle of rotation at which braking force is imparted when relatively rotating to the other side, braking force is not imparted when relatively rotating to the one side. A wall section (13) is provided on a first circumferential surface facing one of a case (10) or a rotor (20). An engaging projection (23) is provided on a second circumferential surface facing the other of the case (10) or the rotor (20). A valve (30) is provided between the first circumferential surface and the engaging projection (23). The valve (30) engages the engaging projection (23) so as to be capable of relative displacement in the circumferential direction and the radial direction, and displaces in the circumferential direction according to the direction of rotation and displaces in the radial direction according to the circumferential-direction position. When displaced toward the one side in the circumferential direction and toward the first circumferential-surface side in the radial direction, and when displaced toward the other side in the circumferential direction and toward the second circumferential-surface side in the radial direction, the valve (30) opens the connecting channel (43) between the engaging projection (23) and the valve (30). When displaced toward the one side in the circumferential direction and toward the second circumferential-surface side in the radial direction, and when displaced toward the other side in the circumferential direction and toward the first circumferential-surface side in the radial direction, the valve (30) closes the connecting channel (43).
